An open letter to Conservative Christians
It has been a while since I have written a religious article, but after seeing this flash video (via digg, satire of The God Delusion) I felt like I had to say something.
I don’t see how you people have such a problem believing that science and religion can complement each other. I have, in fact, mentioned this before. I know that the Bible is God’s Word, but think about this: do you know Greek? Hebrew? Aramaic?
Death
Two people close to me had people close to them die in as many days. It has left me thinking.
Monday, Landon’s grandma died during surgery. She was old, obviously, but from what I have heard of her she was pretty strong and it is surprising that she didn’t pull through. Landon seems to be taking it pretty well, but he seems to take everything pretty well; I don’t know how he’s really doing. He and his family were going to leave today for Kentucky, as that is where the funeral is, but they decided to wait a day before they left because his other grandmother is hanging on to life by a thread.
